FMS Law Limited are a three office law firm based in Portree on the Isle of Skye, Kyle of Lochalsh, Ross-shire and Balivanich, Isle of Benbecula.

FMS Law Limited were previously known as Ferguson MacSween & Stewart.  Our law firm has had a presence in Portree since it was originally formed by Harry Macdonald, W.S. as Macdonald Fraser, Solicitors, some time around 1846.  The firm were originally housed above what is now The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, Bank Street, Portree, and the current office commenced trading as Christie and Ferguson in Bridge Road around 1973.  The firm has however moved with the times and incorporated as a limited company and commenced trading as such in April 2023.

We aim to provide the highest quality legal service in the area and to give our clients a service to meet their needs in a friendly, approachable yet professional manner.
