FMS Law Limited have evolved since the 1970s from the oldest legal practice in Portree, on the Isle of Skye. The company also opened a second branch in Main Street, Kyle of Lochalsh in 1993 thereby offering the first resident legal and property service in this area and a further office in Balivanich in 2017. 

Throughout its history of expansion and devolution, the provision of a high quality legal service has underpinned the entire organisation and this is still the case today.

The current directors are Sarah Farr and Katie MacKay (formerly known as Katie MacDonald) both based in the Portree office.
