Karen Wotherspoon

Karen hails from Ayrshire and after holidaying here for many years, and getting married on the island in 2015, she relocated to south Skye with her husband and 2 bordoodles, Matt and Alex, in January 2024 when she joined the firm.  Karen deals with property matters including house sales and purchases, re-mortgages, security work and transfers of title. She works out of both our Portree and Kyle of Lochalsh offices and enjoys the weekly commute to Portree which provides much better views, on clear days, than the M77 into Glasgow!  A graduate of the University of Strathclyde and the University of Glasgow, Karen was a paralegal, working in debt recovery, for many years before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2016.

In her spare time, Karen likes nothing better than spending time outside in her garden growing a bumper crop of vegetables, something that has come as a surprise to everyone who knows her in Ayrshire.  She also enjoys spending time socialising with friends and neighbours and is at her happiest when walking in the spectacular surroundings of Skye.
